I wrote this song about 7 years ago, but could never quite find the right backing for it… Until I found Skye Jordan’s “I’m Not Afraid With Lucifer’s”, a haunting, dark and dirty little Memphis R&B track, that I instantly fell in love with. I’ve been sitting on this for close to a year, trying to add harmonies and such. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, the Studio work is nearly impossible these days. I can sing and create, but computer work in general is a challenge.

Sooooo… forever the procrastinator, I’m just gonna go ahead and drop what I have. I’m also dropping some raw “harmony” stems that I could never quite figure out how to build into the song. Ya’ll can have at em, and hopefully do something fun with them. I’m looking forward to seeing what my ccMixter fam does with this. Here’s to letting go of imperfect works in 2026!
