Remixers
The DS106 Assignment Bank Remixer
From the BlogBack machine, a DS106 gizmo that flipped the Assignment Bank inside out.
So the idea of the Remix machine is to go from the remixing of media that we’ve had students doing the past two weeks, to the level of remixing the work they have been doing in ds106. The primary part of the machine now is the Generator– it pulls one random assignment from the bank (we have over 300 now), and combines it with one random “remix card“- the cards each describe a different “twist” to apply to an assignment.

Alas it is gone from the fleet, but you can Wayback it or see also:

Five Card Flickr
Alan has made a Five Card Flickr site that somehow still mostly works. He had it set up to do the 5 card random story with flickr photos tagged #ds106 (it tracked about 9000 so not all of them)
It works! https://5card.cogdogblog.com/show.php?id=54441

Visual Thinkery Remixer
How to describe the brilliance that is Bryan Mathers. Check out the amazing Visual Thinkery Remixer and play around with it. Tell us here what you’ve made.
TDC Mixers
Sometimes the daily create can lead to some more amateur mixing tools.

Cubomania Gif! started as a response to tdc729, blogged here and here. It has bee used to reply to several other daily creates.

Dance Jim Dance allows people to add a dancing Jim to any image. The result is an animated gif. I think this one started as a response to a DS106 Assignment, but may have been used as a daily create and certainly as a response. It started here.

everywhere.tools

Everywhere.tools is a living collection of open-source design resources. It gathers the experiments, utilities, and side-projects that usually stay hidden in personal repos – and gives them a stage.
