A few thousand years of rain
There is an argument here – just hear me out.
Now I’m not one to stir up trouble, but as far as I can see, the Celtic nations have been firming it on the Atlantic weather front for the last few thousand years allowing South East England to have nice summers featuring cricket matches which (sometimes) last five days. And still they moan about the bad weather.
I now live in London (for my sins) and I turn out the odd time for the local cricket team, not that I’ve had much practice coming from where I’m from and not having gone to the right school.
Reparations?
Introducing Nordie Zines!
Personal, historical, visual. Reflecting on a polarised past – but looking towards a hopeful future.
A Zine is a small press publication, rarely to be found in a shop, but quite a thing to behold all the same. Each one has 16 pages or so, and is full of cartoons about growing up in Ulster. They are a think-and-wonder creation in the soul-scraping search for my own identity.
“These are perfect little gems. Bryan has managed to capture his highly individual style with universal appeal. I loved the sense of humour and irony that comes through them and yet the underlying messages of the books are quite profound.”
