Standing prominently within Istanbul’s contemporary skyline, Anthill Residence is one of the city’s distinctive residential developments, recognized for its iconic twin-tower architecture, impressive height, and visibility from many elevated points across Istanbul.

The building’s strong presence within the cityscape is further enhanced after dark through dynamic façade lighting and lighting animations developed by SOON Light & Project, transforming the towers into a striking element of Istanbul’s night-time skyline.

The lighting concept was designed not simply to increase the visibility of the towers, but to reinterpret their vertical lines, height, and distinctive architectural form through light. Carefully controlled effects across the façades emphasize the architectural rhythm of the buildings while creating a powerful visual signature that can be recognized from a considerable distance.

The dynamic animation scenarios developed by SOON Light & Project allow the façade lighting to transform through different effects and visual transitions. As a result, Anthill Residence goes beyond being a conventionally illuminated building and becomes a dynamic urban landmark brought to life through light and movement.

The exceptional height and wide visibility of the towers played an important role in shaping the lighting strategy. Lighting scenarios were carefully developed to reinforce these architectural advantages, ensuring that the strong presence of the towers continues throughout the night.

Completed in 2010, Anthill Residence consists of two 54-storey residential towers, each rising to approximately 195 meters, with a total construction area of approximately 150,000 m² (1,614,600 ft²).

The Anthill Residence project represents an important example of SOON Light & Project’s expertise in large-scale high-rise architectural lighting, combining dynamic façade systems, lighting animations, and control technologies to create a distinctive night-time identity.
