HandyGames™ becomes THQ Nordic Mobile
For 26 years, we have been passionate about great games. Since July 2018, HandyGames™ and THQ Nordic have worked side-by-side – and now, in August 2026, we are taking the next logical step: our publishing arm is officially operating under the name THQ Nordic Mobile, effective immediately. This allows us to maximize our global reach and further strengthen our position in premium mobile gaming.
Our decades of market expertise, our shared history, and our headquarters in Giebelstadt remain the solid foundation of our daily work.

Under the HandyGames brand, we have set global standards over the past decades. Our portfolio has been honored with renowned international awards such as the Apple Design Award and the BAFTA, while we have been recognized as Best Studio. We are now seamlessly continuing this award-winning path of success and our tireless commitment to quality under the name THQ Nordic Mobile.
HandyGames Studios remain the creative heart
The established structure between publishing and development remains completely unaffected: we are continuing our tradition as developers as usual at HandyGames Studios. As our proven in-house development studio directly under the THQ Nordic Mobile umbrella, the team continues to focus entirely on high-quality game development and the creation of first-class premium experiences.

THQ Nordic Mobile acts as an international publisher with a clear focus on premium mobile games. As part of THQ Nordic and the Embracer Group, we publish and produce excellent experiences for smartphones, tablets, and all popular mobile devices, as well as select titles for consoles, PC, and VR systems.
From our headquarters in Giebelstadt (Germany), the strategic management of every project remains firmly in the hands of our in-house experts, while we realize innovative projects in our own development studio, HandyGames Studios, and cooperate closely with external partners and creative teams worldwide.
