Between September 22, 2025 at 22:19 UTC and September 23 at 01:46 UTC, code search in GitHub Enterprise Cloud – AU was unavailable. Code search queries during this time returned an error message. This was due to a misconfiguration that was rolled out to this region to upgrade the LLM model used for Copilot code searches, which resulted in customer search indexes being dropped.

We mitigated the incident by fixing the configuration and rebuilding the search indexes for customer search.
